Ski School

Group ski lessons are things of the past for the advanced skier but ski school still has some services to offer for those who are competent skiers.  Lying in the heart of SkiWelt Scheffau is the perfect starting point to explore Austria's largest inter-connected ski circus.  Private lessons are always available and it's possible to book time with a ski guide to show you around, a valid option if you're new to the area and with so much to go at it can save time and add to the fun in the long run.  Video lessons are also available and it often helps to see yourself on film in order to iron out the gremlins. 

Ski Equipment

Ski lift passes cover all the lifts and pistes in the SkiWelt area and will be brought to you on arrival in resort if pre-booked, saving you time when you get there.  This service is not available for those using the Swatch Access system - sorry, but we need your watch to update the access and this must be done at the gondola station. 

Many advanced skiers prefer to use their own equipment - please let us know at the time of booking so we can accommodate this during transfers.  Superior skis are pre-bookable if you prefer to use the latest modesl - just let us know when you book and we'll be happy to arrange hire and a convenient time pick them up shortly after your arrival in resort.  If you'd like to try out new models or alternative skis such as blades, new racers or any other piece of the latest equipment please don't hesitate to ask and we'll let you know what's available.  Scheffau is a Salomon Station and as such stocks the latest equipment available from them.  Other brands are also widely available in resort.

Ski Alternatives

With the Hannenkham Austrian Downhill run  approximately 20 minutes away in the resort of Kitzbuhel you might like a day's skiing outside SkiWelt on this famous mountain.  This is easily arranged and worth the short trip if you've seen it on television but never skied there.  The resort itself does not offer such a varied piste/lift system as SkiWelt but it's in easy reach and worth a day out just to say you've been there.
