Learn to Climb Holidays
If you've ever looked at a mountain or watched a programme on some of the great climbers you're sure to have wondered what it would be like to get to the top on your own. Our Learn to Climb Pack is designed to teach you the basics of this thrilling sport and by the end of the week, all being well, you should be able to do a grade 3 climb on your own. (Not that we recommend going up mountains alone!).
The Wilden Kaiser range offers so many opportunities for this sport you can be sure you'll never do the same climb twice, so the potential for experience and learning is immense.
You'll learn mountain hazards and safety, clipping on and tying, the correct way to abseil, how to climb walls and cracks, route planning, harness, rope and knot work amongst other things - in fact anything which is going to keep you safe and increase your enjoyment of this super sport. Alpine hazards, abseiling, first aid, equipment checking, tour planning and orienteering are also covered.
The week starts on a natural climbing wall and progresses through a series of exercises and climbs until, hopefully, at the end of the week your climb takes you to the top for that bird's eye view and an incredible feeling of satisfaction that, at last, you've got there.
