You're very welcome to come on your own and enjoy a holiday with NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT or bring a friend - it's up to you. The water is great fun at any time of year but May and June are even better, when the winter melt water has reached the rivers and they're in full flow. Other times of the year are exciting but we think the early summer provides just that little bit more. Your white water week starts gently with a day kayaking, learning the basics on the clam of a nearby lake. You'll learn to paddle, steer and roll the kayak as well as getting to grips with how to get in and out. Now that you've got your sense of balance you'll move on to wild water swimming. This is the only way to get access to some of the beautiful gorges in the area - you just follow your instructor down the river. River rafting is very popular in Tirol so we'll take you up to the white water at Imst to get a real feel for what it's all about. Expect a grade 3 -5 experience, depending on when you come.. The next sport to try is canyoning which involves swimming, abseiling and getting into difficult places. It all adds up to a sporty wet week where you'll be guided by qualified instructors, provided with all the equipment you need and shown just how to get the most out of the natural waters of Tirol.
