Kinder Kaiserland - Ski holiday heaven

Learning to ski is a great way to get active in the winter mountain snow. Active children are happy children and what better place to get active than in Kinder Kaiserland. Scheffau's ski school has the perfect place to keep children happy and amused while they learn a new sport and mum and dad can be sure they're safe and being looked after. Kinder Kaiserland is not only great fun - it's also an award-winning ski school and one of the best in Austria.

Active Ski Safety

Kinder Kaiserland is the award-winning children's ski park designed exclusively for use by children ski beginners. Ski safety is the keynote here which is why the area is completely enclosed and unavailable to other skiers so you can be confident your child is being well cared for. The area has been tried and tested for safety and the equipment is checked twice daily to be sure nothing is going to get in the way of having ski fun.

Active Ski Learning

Your children will start with the very basics of skiing then progress to the ski carousels to improve their balance and sliding abilities. They then work their way through a series of ski lifts, gradients and runs learning to side-step, stop and turn as they do so. You are on holiday, after all, and when learning is fun it just gets easier. When children can stop and turn safely they progress to the mountain slopes for that real 'I can ski' feeling.

Active Ski Fun

Learning to ski and having fun is what Kinder Kaiserland is all about. Regular visits from ski penguin Bobo and his piste friends, the Ice Bear and Snowman, are always exciting and children can finish their day with a ride on the Kinderland Ski Express pulled by KKL's very own dragon, complete with his own skis. The ski race, each Friday, is always good fun as is the prize giving where each little skier receives a medal and certificate which says 'well done, you did it!' All of the above is included in the price of the course.

Active Ski Toddlers

Official ski course ages start at 4 years old but it's possible to book a taster ski lesson for children aged 2 and upwards. This is an excellent introduction to skiing for younger children and takes place at lunchtime when Kinderland is empty. The ski instructor:child ratio is 1:4. Children may progress to the full ski course if appropriate.
